HOW DOES IT WORK?

STEP 1: Transcription
Dialogue Transcription:

Transcription is changing the dialogue into written text. This makes the translation process easy for both the translator and proofreader. The text here is set in a bilingual format which will then allow the translator to enter the translation opposite predetermind and well-defined portions of the source text.

Paraphrasing and Summarizing:

Text is then paraphrased, summarized and divided into small parts reflecting the general flow of the dialogue.

STEP 2: Translation

Translation is then done to reflect the social and cultural spirit of the original text. The general flow of the dialogue should be maintained. To do so, the translated text may have to be paraphrased or summarized to fit within the time constraint.

STEP 3: Proofreading

Translation is then reviewed by another translator who will check the accuracy of the translation and its consistency of the social and cultural spirit of the original text.

STEP 4: Subtitling

Translation is then handed to a subtitling expert who will encode text. The Encoder will ensure that the text is read comfortably by the viewer within the time allocated to each part of the text.

STEP 5: Quality Assurance
Review of subtitled video:

Upon completion of subtitling, the video is viewed several times to ensure that the translation runs with the follow of the original dialogue. Necessary adjustments can be made.

STEP 6: Delivery
Delivery and customer feedback:

The subtitled video is then delivered to the customer for comments and feedback. Necessary modifications can be made as per customer’s feedback.
